Jorge Luis Lopez’s Priorities:
Monday, July 14th, 2008Crime and Public Safety: Protecting our families is my top priority. I will fight for increased funding for community policing and tougher legislation to keep criminals off the streets and our families safe.
Economy and Taxes: I will sponsor legislation that provides incentives for small business development and job growth, helping fortify our economic engine. I will also work to reduce our overall tax burden.
Effective Leadership: For too long, our community has served as a donor and does not get back what it pays in taxes. I will work on your behalf to make sure we get our fair share.
Education: Our children deserve the best education possible, without excuses. The State must properly fund class rooms and teachers. I will lead efforts to ensure that a fair share of your tax dollars are returned to our schools.
